Knäulchen Kugelrund
“Knäulchen Kugelrund” is a red ball of wool that lives on a farm together with many other animals. His friends affectionately call him “Knäulchen,” and he helps wherever he can. His red thread is in high demand, and he selflessly unwinds himself piece by piece until there is almost nothing left of him. Luckily, his friends do not abandon him in this moment. They would rather keep their “little ball” friend than let him unravel completely. In the process, they realize something very important in life: to be a hero, you don’t need strength but a good heart.
In a humorous stage version, the students of BAfEP Mistelbach recount some episodes from the children’s book by Mária Ďuričková, which is very popular in Slovakia. With this and many other stories, the author left behind a legacy that continues to convey true messages even after her death in Bratislava in 2004.
