Oh, the tide is out today!

Full of anticipation, Ava heads to the beach with her sun lounger and water wings already strapped to her arms. But where has the water gone? “Oh, the tide is out today!” exclaims the little girl. Instead, there are lots of treasures lying around that have been washed up by the sea. Wood, round colorful objects, and many other things from distant lands. What could all this be? It’s time for an expedition!

A lava rock from Indonesia, a root from New Zealand, a branch from Italy, a cork ring from a Greek fishing net, colorful pieces of wood from Thailand...

Stories emerge from the inconspicuous flotsam... and when the tide comes in, everything disappears again into the vastness of the sea.
