The Princess Who Wants the Moon

Based on the children’s book “Many Moons” by James Thurb

A long time ago, a little princess named Leonore lived in a small kingdom. One day, she ate too many raspberry tarts and became so ill that she had to lie down. The royal doctor was very worried and sent for the king.

“What do you need? Your every wish will come true!”

“Yes,” said the princess, “I wish for the moon. Only if I can have the moon will I get well again.”

All of the king’s wisest advisors were at a loss and claimed that this was impossible. Only the court jester found a way. Discover how he succeeded in fulfilling the princess’s wish in our story.
