The Butterfly Workshop
A puppet show about the origin of the world
A long time ago, there were no butterflies. And many other animals and plants also didn’t exist. They were all waiting to be created. That was the task of the Designers of All Things. One of them was the young Rodolfo. He had skillful hands and liked to try out everything that was possible.
There were also other designers. At the North Pole, there were polar designers, who stood in the freezing cold all day. This was the best way for them to find out what the animals that were to live there needed. Many colorful animals also had to be created for the oceans. And there was the flower designer – she believed she was the only one who created something beautiful.
Rodolfo, on the other hand, wanted to invent something very special: a creature that would be like a bird and a flower at the same time. This was his dream, and he constantly thought about it. What could be as beautiful as a flower and fly like a bird?
One day, the time had come. Rodolfo made it! And all the master designers gathered to see Rodolfo’s invention.
