Snot and Water
A clown show bathed in tears
Two female clowns coax precious tears from one another. Depending on the type of tear, special measures are required: a tear of joy bounces with delight, a tear of love tastes like a kiss, and a farewell tear rolls warm and thick down the face. If you dare, you can also shed a tear of fear today. This tear is then placed in a special container so that no one else is frightened. Then the crocodile makes an appearance. But it doesn’t really cry, does it?
With water aplenty and a pinch of salt, the puppeteers Ulrike Kley and Samira Wenzel explore the preciousness of every tear shed and ask themselves: is it even possible to fit all five million tears we cry in our lives into one play? But be careful, there might also be some splashing...
